In 2007 I was asked to make a short film for a charity about a little boy called Tom. Three-year old Tom had a rare, muscle-weakening condition called myotubular myopathy. I asked Tom's six-year-old sister Sophie to help narrate his story. It’s been my pleasure to make a number of similar short films for charities since – and in doing so, I can remember dear Tom who sadly died just before his fourth birthday.
